Pro Choice Counselling
At MSI Australia, counselling is mandatory only for two groups:
- People aged 25-29yrs who do not have biological children, and who want a vasectomy.
- Young people aged under 16yrs. We prefer you have a chat with a Counsellor OR one of our Medical team. It’s important you are safe, fully informed and understand our services.
To book counselling for myself:
1. First make a 10-minute Pre-Counselling appointment with the Counselling Intake Officer. This is not the actual counselling session. You will be asked for basic information to work out the counselling best suited to your needs, provided resources if appropriate, and then given an appointment time with one of the Counsellors.
To book counselling for my support person/partner:
2. If you and another person want counselling together, or, if they want their own individual session, the other person must first make a 10-minute Pre-Counselling appointment. A separate Pre-Counselling appointment is needed to ensure safety, privacy, and confidentiality for everyone. This is not the actual counselling session.
